Amy E. West, Esq.

Amy
E. West’s blend of zeal and compassion make her especially well-suited
to practice criminal defense and family law. In both criminal and
family law cases, she achieves innovative solutions by relying upon
creative problem-solving. Amy’s passion for both criminal defense and
family law advocacy stems from her strong desire to help lessen the
burdens of her criminal defense and family law clients.
Before
founding Rhoads & West, Amy worked for the San Diego County Public
Defender and contracted for several private law firms. She represented
a wide range of criminal defense clients before the California State
Courts and the United States District Court, Southern and Central
Districts of California. She also represented numerous family law
clients with varied issues in the Superior Court of California.
Amy
is a member of the American Bar Association and the San Diego County
Bar Association. Her professional affiliations also include Lawyers
Club of San Diego and Solare & Associates.
Amy attended
California Western School of Law on a Trustee’s Scholarship. During law
school, Amy learned the criminal defense practice at both the San Diego
County Office of the Public Defender and Appellate Defenders,
Incorporated. She graduated cum laude from California Western School of Law.
Amy
earned undergraduate degrees in History and Political Science from the
University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. She lived in Germany, the
daughter of a United States Government employee, for ten (10) years.
Her hobbies include singing and playing soccer. |

Todd B. Rhoads , Esq.
Practice Areas: Civil Litigation, Personal Injury, Family Law
Todd
B. Rhoads is an experienced civil litigator who enjoys the the
challenge of the Courtroom and the fast-paced, analytical thinking it
requires. Todd handles primarily civil matters including personal
injury cases, contract disputes and other small business litigation,
family law, and bankruptcy.
Prior to founding Rhoads
& West, Todd worked for several San Diego law firms including The
Law Offices of Todd J. Hilts, and also for Gateway, Inc.'s litigation
law department. He attended the University of San Diego School of Law
on scholarship.
A journalism graduate of the
University of Maryland, Todd worked as a reporter and editor for
several media companies and newspapers including The Maryland Gazette,
The WashingtonPost.com, and FansOnly.com. He finds that law and
journalism require much in the way of similar skills, with an emphasis
on effectively analyzing and communicating information.
Todd
was born in West Germany to U.S. parents in the employee of the
National Security Agency. After returning stateside, he was raised in
Bowie, Md. in the Washington, D.C. suburbs. His interests include
politics, literature, sports, and running. |
